Mutation multiplier confidence matrix
Full-agreement values are safe enough for the calculator. Disputed values stay visible but are excluded until a later source check resolves them.
| Mutation | Observed value | Trigger or evidence | Confidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gold | 10× | Random growth or harvest chance, Gold Seed, or a Goldmoon route | 3/3 agree |
| Rainbow | 30× | Rainbow Seed, random chance, Rainbow weather, or a Rainbow Moon route | 3/3 agree |
| Electric | 25× | Lightning weather | 3/3 agree |
| Starstruck | 50× | Starfall weather | 3/3 agree |
| Ignited | 60× | Sunburst weather | 3/3 agree |
| Frozen | Fandom: 20× · GAG.GG: 20× · GAG2 Tools: 14× | Disputed Two sources report 20× and one reports 14×, so Frozen is excluded from the calculator pending another live check. | |
| Aurora | Fandom: 40× · GAG.GG: 40× · GAG2 Tools: 1.5× | Disputed The 40× versus 1.5× gap is too large to present as one confirmed value. | |
| Bloodlit | Fandom: 60× · GAG.GG: 70× · GAG2 Tools: 60× | Disputed Two sources report 60× and one reports 70×; the page keeps both observations visible. | |
| Glow | 100× | Reported Star Fruit beam effect at night | 2-source report |
| Eclipsed | 80× | Reported Eclipse weather after harvesting Eclipse Bloom | 2-source report |
What this mutation guide can verify
This page compares three visible mutation tables line by line. A full-agreement label means the Fandom wiki, GAG.GG, and GAG2 Tools show the same multiplier in the July 14 review. It does not mean the developer published an official table.
- Five values match across all three comparison sources.
- Three commonly searched values have a material source conflict.
- Two newer effects have limited two-page coverage and stay outside the consensus calculator.
- The live sale result remains stronger evidence than any fan guide after an update.
Five full-agreement mutation multipliers
These values power the separate value calculator because agreement is reproducible from all three reviewed tables. They can still change after a balance update, so keep the review date attached when sharing or reusing them.
- Gold — 10× through random, special-seed, or Goldmoon routes.
- Rainbow — 30× through Rainbow Seed, random, weather, or moon routes.
- Electric — 25× from Lightning weather.
- Starstruck — 50× from Starfall weather.
- Ignited — 60× from Sunburst weather.
Why Frozen, Aurora, and Bloodlit stay disputed
Fandom and GAG.GG both report Frozen at 20× and Aurora at 40×, while GAG2 Tools reports 14× and 1.5×. Fandom and GAG2 Tools report Bloodlit at 60×, while GAG.GG reports 70×. Majority agreement is useful evidence, but it is not the same as full agreement, especially when the gap can change a sale estimate by millions of Sheckles.
- Do not spend Robux or restructure a plot around one disputed community number.
- Compare the live sale result before and after the mutation when possible.
- Recheck this page after a patch that changes weather, crops, or the economy.
Glow and Eclipsed are newer limited-coverage values
GAG.GG and growagarden2.net currently report Glow at 100× and Eclipsed at 80×. Other reviewed mutation lists do not yet provide the same rows, so these are labeled emerging rather than promoted into the full-agreement calculator.
- Glow is reported as a Star Fruit beam effect at night.
- Eclipsed is reported during Eclipse weather triggered through Eclipse Bloom.
- Limited coverage means useful for follow-up checking, not safe for a definitive calculator input.
How mutation value is calculated
The Fandom mechanics page describes final crop value as base price multiplied by physical size and the mutation multiplier. Its current notes also say a crop carries one mutation at a time. The separate calculator deliberately uses the smaller reproducible formula base value × quantity × mutation and warns that physical size and later balance changes remain outside the estimate.
Mutation farming checklist
- Keep valuable crops planted before a weather window instead of leaving premium soil empty.
- Match the desired mutation to its reported trigger: Lightning, Starfall, Sunburst, Rainbow, or a special seed or moon route.
- Use pets and sprinklers as chance support only when their current in-game descriptions confirm the effect.
- Inspect valuable crops before bulk selling so a high-multiplier result is not discarded unnoticed.
- Protect rare mutated crops during the night cycle when another player can enter the garden.
When to sell, hold, or protect a mutated crop
A high multiplier on a low-base crop can still be worth less than a smaller multiplier on a valuable crop. Start with the crop's base value and replacement cost, then apply the multiplier, then consider whether waiting creates a theft or balance-change risk. The best decision is account-specific rather than one permanent tier list.
- Sell when the current value materially funds the next upgrade and the crop is replaceable.
- Hold briefly when an event mechanic or comparison check is still active and the garden can be defended.
- Protect when the mutated crop is rare, expensive to replace, or central to the next progression step.
Verification boundary
What still needs live verification
This is a dated independent guide answer. Update-sensitive mechanics, values, availability, and interface paths can change; the current live game and official announcements remain final.
Official descriptions establish stable scope. Interface paths, balance, values, rewards, schedules, and version-specific behavior must still be checked in the current game build.
